Commercial vehicles

This permit is issued under Gold Coast City Council Local Law No. 2 (Regulated Parking) 2008 to regulate and manage parking in commercial loading zones throughout the city. The aim of the permit system is to restrict the use of commercial loading zones to vehicles displaying the commercial vehicle permit on their windscreen. This system allows approved vehicles access to premises where vehicle loading and unloading occurs.

Please note: working vehicles such as utilities, vans and dual cabs do not require a permit providing they are commercially registered with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. Any vehicle that is registered for 'private use' will require a permit.
