Gold Coast Recreation and Sport Inc.

Gold Coast Recreation and Sport Inc. is a community based organisation providing sporting and recreational opportunities to those of all ages with a disability. Assistance is provided linking people with organisations to gain experience in a vast range of activities offered across the city through the head office at Owen Park, 201 Queen Street, Southport.

Go Bowling

All abilities tenpin bowling includes one to two games and shoe hire. Carers are welcome with their first game free (card required).

Roller Blaze

Wheelchair basketball is an exciting team sport for men and women. Modelled on able-bodied basketball, it is played on standard basketball courts with regulation height rings and backboards. Not restricted to wheelchair users. All equipment supplied. Call to confirm location and time.

Sailability

Experience the joy sailing brings. Sailability Gold Coast is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers with the motto 'freedom on the water regardless of disability'. The program is fully equipped for all disabilities with hoists and slings.

Surfing with disabilities

Experience the thrill of riding waves with the Gold Coast branch of Disabled Surfers Association Australia – a non-profit organisation run by volunteers. The program offers surfing for all ages and levels of disability. All equipment is provided.

Seahorse Nippers

Seahorse Nippers helps children with special needs to participate in modified surf lifesaving activities. Learn water safety, beach skills and have fun in the surf and on the sand. All members of the family are welcome to participate. Phone for information on dates.
