The Gold Coast is an active city and one of the best sport and recreation destinations in Australia. Our natural and built environment encourages an active lifestyle across a range of activities from grassroots to elite level sportspeople.

Our activities promote social inclusion, improve physical health and help you connect with the community through shared experiences and achievements.

Swim, cycle and run your way to fitness with sessions that are conducted by qualified coaches. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Junior triathlon

Improve your fitness and skill development in these swim, bike, run sessions catering specifically for juniors. All levels welcome from beginners to more experienced. Ages 4 to 17 years.

Bonogin Valley Horse Retreat

Develop your horse riding skills and gain confidence with highly experienced instructors and the best horses for an experience to be remembered.

Rock climbing

The 10m high climbing wall has over 10 different climbs of varying degrees of difficulty, including crack only climbs and overhangs for more experienced climbers.


Using a croquet mallet, the aim is to hit one or two balls through the hoops in particular sequence and to score more hoops than the opposition. All equipment is provided.


The Japanese version of croquet that is played between two teams in numerical sequence. One team game lasts 30 minutes and is quick to learn and play.


Come and try the latest new craze and have yourself a game of Pickleball! Pickleball is a fun and social sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Instruction and equipment provided. Easy to play and suits all ages. First try is free.

Social table tennis

This is a great activity to enjoy with family and others. Coaching and competitions are available. Morning tea in included during Friday doubles social play.

Touch football

Join us for a weekly game of social touch football, developing physical fitness, coordination along with plenty of laughs. Child minding available. *Additional costs apply.

Beach volleyball

Experience beach volleyball and join in this fun fitness activity that includes basic coaching and social competition open to all ages and ability levels.
