Taking better care of your body boosts wellbeing. Exercise and eating well can help provide benefits to manage such difficulties as anxiety and depression. Wellbeing is not just the absence of disease or illness; it is a complex combination of physical, mental, emotional and social health factors strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction.

The Active & Healthy program offers series of free and affordable workshops to help educate and empower you to live a healthy and balanced life. Topics range from nutrition and healthy eating, strategies to stressing less, healthy-but-easy recipes, motivation and goal setting, financial fitness to tips on striking a work-life balance.

Healthy and wholesome cooking with Karla

Karla Gilbert, OAM, is an accredited Nutrition and Health Coach, certified Level III and IV fitness trainer, has certificates in Child Nutrition and Nutrition. These qualifications are mixed with years of testing the limits of the body physically and mentally as a professional athlete in the world of Ironwoman racing and winning World and Australian titles.

Practical and healthy with My Nutrition Clinic

This series of practical healthy nutrition talks delivered by Dieticians will cover topics related to improving your health, chronic illnesses and provide practical support and guidance to enable people to prepare and eat a healthy and balanced diet. A paediatric dietitian will help set you up with healthy eating habits for your fussy little ones.

Eat like an athlete for kids

Kids aged 8 to 12 years will be guided through the process of creating, preparing and tasting foods that will support individual athletic abilities and will come away with simple and practical tips to encourage them to be a healthy eater.

Cooking for an athlete

Building on concepts delivered in ‘Eat like an athlete’ workshop, these workshops are designed to support parents and family members integrate wholefoods and encourage healthy eating for young athletes/active kids. The focus will be on creating a toolbox of simple, healthy base ingredients and recipes that can form the foundation of a healthy, easy to cook and tasty family meal repertoire. These skills allow for creativity, confidence, variety and stress-free healthy eating choices for the whole family.

Community health and nutrition talks

Join us for our regular free community health talks where we explore a particular topic on health, be it understanding weight loss, sugars or diabetes, detoxification, exploring the digestive system, or how the liver works, plus much more. Open to all ages and experience levels.

Empower wellbeing talks

Designed to empower participants to make healthy dietary and lifestyle choices, utilise food as medicine and develop an understanding of the impact these choices have on your overall health and wellbeing.

Over 50 and thriving health workshops

It’s never too late to start anything. We’re only as old as we feel, so let’s feel fantastic! Join us for a new topic each month as we introduce and demonstrate ways to become the healthiest version of you. From creating healthy morning routines, meal plans, shopping guides, gut health, understanding weight management, skin health and much more. Open to all ages.

Family-based, heart-centred natural healthcare talks

Casey Conroy and Andreas Khun from Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing operate from a non-diet, body acceptance, Health at Every Size® philosophy which values people for who they are and prioritises a focus on wellbeing rather than weight. Both are passionate about helping others achieve wellness and this series of natural health care talks will educate, empower and guide you to make positive and lasting changes.

Sam Beau Patrick, naturopath, nurse and five-time author understands hormone balancing and her inspiring talks offer useful information on how you can sail through menopause and protect yourself from cancer naturally.

Wellbeing workshops

Leadership Squad Workshops

Join us for our free workshops to overcome the challenges the youth faces and find fun strategies to cope with everything that comes our way.
