Excess animals

Excess animals

To provide for a safe and happy environment for both pets, neighbours and the community as a whole, City of Gold Coast (City) local laws limit the number of animals that can be kept on a property.

Residents may apply for a special City permit to keep more than these numbers. Note: if you do not own the property, you will be required to submit written permission from the property owner with your application, or have them sign the form.

Select from the drop-down list below to find the number of each type of animal that may be kept and the permits required to keep more than this number.
