Pets in group

Council’s Animal Management team works with Gold Coast residents to ensure animals are appropriately cared for and managed, to maintain the health and wellbeing of our community and its animals, as well as the ongoing protection of our environment.

Gold Coast City Council has regulations in place for most types of domestic animals. If you keep animals on your property, they must be kept in accordance with these local laws. Animal owners are responsible for ensuring pets are registered, healthy, safe and do not create a nuisance in the neighbourhood.

Love your pets… they’re part of our city too!
