Senors Week - Men's Shed representatives

Seniors Week is held during August each year and provides an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the valuable contributions that seniors make to our city.

The City provides grants to eligible non-profit groups to hold events during Seniors Week. To be eligible for a grant, the event needs to:

  • build networks for seniors across the city
  • promote healthy ageing
  • promote positive community attitudes to ageing and seniors
  • build the capacity of Gold Coast organisations to provide services
  • provide information relevant to Gold Coast seniors.

Applications for funding under the 2019-20 Community Grants Program, including Seniors Week 2019, are being invited from Monday 25 February until 5pm on Thursday 28 March 2019. For more information visit the Community Grants Program page.

Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland currently receives Queensland Government funding to collaboratively plan, run and subsidise Seniors Week events. For more information visit COTA's Seniors Week web page.
