A range of accessible transport options are available across our city.

Council Cab service

The City of Gold Coast Council Cab service assists people with a disability for return travel to their local shopping centre.

The service is door to door and journeys cost $2 each way.

Parking bays are available throughout the city for use by holders of a disability parking permit. For more information on parking visit our accessible parking page.

Disability parking permits

Accessible bus travel

Train travel

Queensland Rail provides information about accessible train travel, including the level of accessibility at individual stations, passes for people with vision impairment, and rail safety and information days.

Wheelchair accessible taxis

Gold Coast Cabs offer wheelchair accessible taxis, which can fit up to two wheelchairs per vehicle. Pre-booking is advised. Phone 131 008 or 07 5588 1234 from mobile phones.

Community transport services


Transcord Community Transport Organisation Inc. provides transport for eligible people with a disability. Service can include medical appointments. For more information phone 07 5539 3733.

Volunteering Services Australia

Volunteering Services Australia (formerly Volunteering Gold Coast) provides low cost transport to eligible people with a disability. Service can include trips for shopping and social activities.
