Youth Week

2013 National Youth Week

The theme for 2013 National Youth Week, held from 5 to 14 April, was Be active. Be happy. Be you

The event was a great example of positive collaboration between young people, the three tiers of government, the youth sector and the community.

A dynamic and diverse calendar of 31 events celebrating 2013 National Youth Week attracted thousands of Gold Coasters, who were keen to share ideas, have their voices heard, showcase their talents and have fun.

B3 - Be active. Be happy. Be you. kicked off National Youth Week on the Gold Coast.

The event was held at Pizzey Park, Miami and was an action packed day of activities that included DJ workshops, skate jam, a climbing wall, bungy, sumo suits and live music.

Other feature events during the week included Thrower House Youth Day, Let’s Live and Give Life Day and Youth Week @ Pac Pines.

Steampunk jewellery making workshops, dirt jump workshops, skate jams and a learn to record your own music at home workshop were also popular activities.
