Project Managers

With a boundary stretching from Yatala and Stapylton in the north to Tallebudgera Valley and Coolangatta in the south, our city projects have substantial impact on the community, environment and economic development of the Gold Coast.

City of Gold Coast project managers are responsible for providing services to manage or support these major projects from concept or feasibility stage to implementation and completion.

For example, key projects that our people have been involved on have included:

  • Gold Coast City Marine Precinct
  • Cbus stadium
  • Varsity Lakes Master Plan
  • Long-term Dredging Strategy for our city

The role of Project Managers

Every day is different for a project manager at the City. Depending on the project at hand, a day’s work could include:

  • conceptual design and development
  • impact assessment
  • liaising with the community, Government agencies or key private sector stakeholders
  • co-ordinating people, technology and resources
  • translating business goals into activities.

In fact, the diversity of projects both within the community and within the City, itself, means that no two project management jobs are the same.

Becoming a project custodian at the City is a critical business activity in meeting the needs of the community.
