View, download and pay your next City of Gold Coast Rate Notice and/or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice online with BPAY View® through the secure environment of your Internet banking site.

It's the faster, hassle-free and environmentally friendly way to view and pay your bills. BPAY View® offers easy access to pay and track your notices, whilst being kind to the environment by cutting down on paper and reducing our carbon footprint.

Registering

To use BPAY View®, you will need to be registered for internet banking with your financial institution.

Through your internet banking website, locate the BPAY View® section and follow the steps to add or register a new BPAY View® biller. You will need to enter the following details:

Rate Notice

  • Biller Code: 85639
  • Registration Number: use the Notice Number from your previous Rate Notice
  • name on the Rate Notice
  • current email address

Water and Sewerage Rate Notice

  • Biller Code: 868745
  • Registration Number: use the Notice Number from your previous Water and Sewerage Rate Notice
  • name on the Water and Sewerage Rate Notice
  • current email address

Once the details have been entered, you will be notified via email in a day or so as to whether your registration was successful. (If you receive more than one Rate Notice or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice, repeat the above steps for each notice you now wish to receive online.)

Receiving your Rate Notice and/or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice

Once registered with BPAY View®, your next Rate Notice and/or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice will be sent electronically only, and your financial institution will notify you when this occurs (via email, SMS or internal internet banking messages - depending on what notifications are available/activated with your financial institution).

Then simply login to your internet banking site to view and pay your notice. The electronic copy of your notice will look exactly the same as the printed version, and you can also choose to print and save your own copy if required.

You will receive a payment reminder (depending on your financial institution) up to two (2) days prior to the due date. When making a BPAY® payment from the BPAY View® section of your internet banking site, the amount to pay and reference numbers will be pre-populated to make it easier for you.

Otherwise, you can still use any other payment method to pay your notice (including direct debit) when you receive your notice with BPAY View®.

Digital Post Australia

City of Gold Coast (City) Rate Notices and Water and Sewerage Rate Notices are available online through a Digital Postbox with Digital Post Australia.

Receive important mail in a secure Digital Postbox. Your mail is delivered digitally, instead of on paper and it's available in one secure, online location. It's automated, simple to use and FREE! A web connection is all you need to access mail from your laptop, tablet or smart phone.

Registering

To receive your Rate Notice and Water and Sewerage Rate Notice via a Digital Postbox, all you need to do is sign up.

  1. Sign up on the Digital Post Australia Post website.
  2. For security purposes they will mail a unique verification code to your postal address (this confirms you have access to the mail at that location).
  3. Once received, enter your unique code into your Digital Postbox online to complete your security verification.

Receiving your Rate Notice and Water and Sewerage Rate Notice

Once registered with Digital Post Australia, the first Rate Notice or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice will be sent electronically to your Digital Postbox and you will also receive the traditional printed notice to your postal address. You will need to accept the City's Terms and Conditions to view the notice online and once accepted all future Rate Notices and Water and Sewerage Rate Notices will be sent electronically.

Digital Post Australia will notify you when future Rate Notices and Water and Sewerage Rate Notices arrive. You can manage the notifications yourself through the DPA website. The default is a daily digest email (one email to notify of all new mail for the day) however you can change the settings to receive an email notification for every piece of mail.

Then simply login to Digital Postbox to view and pay your notice. The electronic copy of your notice will look exactly the same as the printed version.

You have the option to pay the account from the digital bill by clicking on the 'Pay Now' button. Or you can use any other payment methods detailed on the Rate Notice or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice.

As well as paying your bill from your Digital Postbox, you can also print, download and/or store your own copy as required.

Key information

  • Is electronic mail delivery available to all ratepayers?

    BPAY View® - Yes, to access BPAY View® you will need to be registered for Internet banking through your participating financial institution.

    Digital Post Australia is only available to ratepayers who have a valid Australian postal address (either a street address, a P O Box, a GPO, a RMB, a Locked bag or a Private bag).

  • Will I receive other City notices or accounts via electronic mail as well?

    At this stage the only notices or accounts available from the City of Gold Coast through BPAY View® or Digital Post Australia are your Rate Notice and Water and Sewerage Rate Notice.

  • What if I'm outside Australia, can I still receive rate notices electronically?

    BPAY View® - Yes, if you use Internet banking through an Australian financial institution. Otherwise, if you only have an overseas bank account, you won't be able to use the BPAY View® service.

    Digital Post Australia - Yes, as long as you have a valid Australian postal address (either a street address, a P O Box, a GPO, a RMB, a Locked bag or a Private bag), otherwise your mail will continue to be posted to you in the traditional manner.

  • Will I still receive a rate notice through the mail once I register to receive notices electronically?

    BPAY View® - No, once you have registered to receive your Rate Notice or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice via BPAY View®, you will no longer receive the notices in the mail.

    Digital Post Australia - No, once your have accepted the City’s Terms and Conditions with your first Rate or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice, you will no longer receive these types of notices in the mail.

  • What about the inserts and brochures that normally come with the hardcopy notice?

    No problem, you'll be able to view all the brochures and notices that normally come in the mail online by clicking on the City of Gold Coast link provided.

  • If I receive my notice electronically can I still use other payment methods?

    BPAY View® - Yes, you can still use any other available payment method (including Direct Debit). However, making payments by BPAY® payment is easy with BPAY View® as the amount to pay and reference numbers will be pre-populated for you.

    Digital Post Australia - Yes, you can still use any other available payment method detailed on the Rate Notice or Water and Sewerage Rate Notice. However, clicking on the ‘Pay Now’ button will direct you to the applicable City of Gold Coast Bill Payment Service page for either the Rates or Water and Sewerage Notices.

  • I'm having trouble registering for BPAY View® or Digital Post Australia and need more information.
