The Free Tree Program will begin again in January 2020 and residents, body corporates and schools are eligible.

The City's nursery is situated on Shelter Road at Coombabah. Operating hours for the nursery will be from 7.30am until 2pm on the allocated days.

Heading east along the Gold Coast Highway, Shelter Road is the next left turn after Marble Arch Place. See the map below.

Please note: The City provides a selection of native trees and shrubs for rate payers. The selection of species vary throughout the year and are dependent on availability. Typically, they range in size from tubestock to 200 millimetre pots.

Schedule of days for 2020

Residents

Residents can collect two free trees per household from Coombabah Nursery on Thursdays between the hours of 7.30am and 2pm on the dates below. You will need to provide proof of your current rates notice.

  • January – 9, 16, 23, 30
  • February – 6, 13, 20, 27
  • March – 5, 12, 19, 26
  • April – 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
  • May – 7, 14, 21, 28

Body corporates

Body corporates are eligible for 10 free trees per complex. Applications must be from the Body Corporate Manager. Please submit applications on letterhead and email to parks&recreationalservices@goldcoast.qld.gov.au

Schools and community groups - Wednesday (all year)

Schools are eligible to receive 50 free trees per annum. Community Group applications are consideration only. All requests must be on letterhead, signed by the Principle, scanned and emailed to: parks&recreationalservices@goldcoast.qld.gov.au or posted to:
