Green waste drop and go

Man unloading a ute full of garden waste

To make recycling of garden waste faster and easier, the City is expanding its network of green waste drop and go’s at our Waste and Recycling Centres (WRC) across the Gold Coast. These zones are now operational at the Reedy Creek WRC, Molendinar WRC and Merrimac WRC. There’s a new green waste drop and go zone opening at a brand new location in Coomera – coming soon.

You are now able to drive in and drop your green waste directly off the back of your vehicle or trailer onto a designated ground level area. This eliminates the need for lifting and loading into bins which means a faster trip and reduced waiting times.

Residents now have the flexibility to dispose of large quantities of green waste at their convenience.

All green waste must be separated and free from contamination. Please remember to cover your load while transporting your green waste to our facilities.
