Parking at the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct

In December 2017, minor changes were made to the layout of parking in the Cultural Precinct. This included a change to the way motorists pay for parking by upgrading the existing parking meters to pay-by-plate technology.

This means that drivers parking in this location will now be required to enter their vehicle registration number rather than having to remember a parking bay number. This way, if you pay to park all day, you can leave the carpark and return to a different bay within the area without having to pay again.

When you complete your parking transaction at a new pay-by-plate parking meter you will also be asked if you would like an e-receipt. If you select ‘Yes’ you will be given a 4-digit code.

To get a copy of the receipt:

  1. note down the e-receipt code
  2. go online to
  3. enter the e-receipt code and your vehicle registration number
  4. the e-receipt will be emailed to your nominated address.

If you use the PayStay app to pay for your parking, you will need to enter the Zone number as well as your vehicle registration number.

Gold Coast Cultural Precinct is Zone 9999.

Download the PayStay mobile app from your mobile device's App Store, register at or phone 1300 322 111.

Parking in the off-street carpark at Evandale has been reviewed as part of the development of the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct. As such, the expected demand of visitors to the area has led to the decision to install additional parking meter machines.

  • All-day metered parking - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • 3 hour visitor parking - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
