RunnersIntroduction

Gold Coast City Council is proud to make its information kit for clubs and associations available to the region’s community, sporting and recreational groups.

Council places great importance on working closely with local community, sporting and recreational organisations. It is for this reason, and to help new and established clubs and associations to thrive, that this kit has been published.

The kit is divided into twelve key areas addressing major aspects of club/associations’ operations and development most commonly of concern to management committees:-

  1. Public image
  2. Council programs and assistance schemes
  3. Leasing
  4. How well is your club?
  5. Club and association administration
  6. Financial control
  7. Legal liabilities
  8. Volunteers
  9. Publicity
  10. Sponsorship
  11. Council relations
  12. Creating Club Development Plans

It is envisaged management committees will make appropriate use of the information contained within the kit and that clubs and associations will develop and benefit accordingly.
