The Gold Coast Planning Scheme The Gold Coast Planning Scheme is a living document that will guide the growth and development of 'Our Living City', the City of the Gold Coast. Enquiries concerning the Planning Scheme can be made in person at the Technical Advice Counter at the Nerang Office or by contacting (07) 5582 8708. The Planning Scheme will be available to view at Council's main administration centres at Nerang, Surfers, Beenleigh and Coolangatta as well as all Council Libraries. Who is the scheme for? The Scheme was developed by Council in line with the Queensland Government's Integrated Planning Act (IPA). The Scheme is relevant to you - whether you are renovating a house, developing a subdivision or industrial site, or interested in protecting our city's natural environment. Maps and documents All maps and supporting documents available online in this Planning Scheme are in Adobe PDF format. You will need a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader to access these files.
Please note that many of the maps are highly detailed and are therefore large in size. Downloading these documents from the Internet can take considerable time and incur significant data charges depending on individual Internet connections.
