How the Gold Coast Planning Scheme has changed

Ongoing revision of the Gold Coast Planning Scheme prompted the release of a new version. This Amendment 1 was adopted by Council on November 29, 2004.

The revision includes modifications to the Planning Scheme’s text and maps in response to requirements of Queensland's Minister for Local Government & Planning, submissions received from the public and professional organisations, as well as corrections and changes necessary for the effective operation of the Scheme.

Overview

• Some planning information is updated or changed

• Some new planning information is included

• Some text changes are included as the entire body of the Scheme was reviewed for editorial updates

• Immediate access to individual maps is now included. Where possible this allows readers to open, save and share only those maps of interest.

All changes incorporated in this new version have been extracted and collected into a separate document which is included here download.

This provides a convenient reference for regular Planning Scheme users to evaluate how the new version impacts previous or existing Planning Scheme references.
