The Gold Coast Planning Scheme
The Gold Coast Planning Scheme is a living document
that will guide the growth and development of 'Our Living City', the City
of the Gold Coast.
Residents, industry and the Queensland Government have been consulted
about the Scheme before its adoption by the Gold Coast City Council on
June 6, 2003. It became operational on August 18, 2003.
Continuing review of the Scheme has resulted in the
first amendment being adopted by Council on November 29, 2004. It became
operational March 7, 2005.
Enquiries concerning the Planning Scheme can be made
in person at the Technical Advice Counter at the Nerang Office or by contacting
(07) 5582 8708.
The Planning Scheme will be available to view at Council's
main administration centres at Nerang, Surfers, Beenleigh and Collangatta
as well as all Council Libraries.

The Scheme was developed by Council in line with the
