Version History
The Gold Coast Planning Scheme 2003 Version 1.2 commenced on 11 May 2009 and includes Amendments 2 & 3 and Minor Amendments 1 - 5. These amendments include a number of general changes across the Planning Scheme to mapping, codes, definitions, tables of development, formatting, and other parts of the Planning Scheme.
In addition to general amendments, Version 1.2 includes amendments to the development provisions for Advertising Devices including the Advertising Devices Specific Development Code and Advertising Devices within all tables of development. Further, the new Oxenford and amended Broadbeach and Coolangatta Local Area Plans are also included in Version 1.2.

Note: In accordance with s.2.1.7 of the Integrated Planning Act 1997, amendments to a planning scheme will have effect on and from the day the adoption of the amendment is notified in the gazette, or if a later day for the commencement of the amendment is stated in the amendment, the later day.
Please also note that a development application (superseded planning scheme) must be made within 2 years after the day the amendment creating the superseded planning scheme takes effect.
