Upcycled book sculpture 2018

Expressions of interest are now open to artists or arts groups to create a large scale installation art work, live on site at City Libraries, (Broadbeach and/or Elanora) during the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, 4 April to 15 April. We are looking for stunning artworks that transforms the perception of the space and captures the imagination of our visitors. Find out more and download the application form.

The Gold Coast is home to a bustling cultural scene brimming with creativity. You can get involved through some of the many opportunities to get in touch with your creative side at City Libraries.

11th Avenue Creative

11th Avenue Creative is a creative community space at Palm Beach Community Lounge and Library, for artists, crafts people and enthusiasts to learn, create, collaborate and share their ideas and experience. 

Not-for-profit groups or individuals that are interested in running or participating in workshops or using the space are encouraged to contact your local library or City Libraries on 07 5581 6788.

11th Ave Creative Art studio residency

Art studio residency program

11th Avenue Creative at Palm Beach Library is inviting applications from artists, artisans and or art groups to utilise studio space for an 'art studio residency program' free of charge for up to three months (conditions apply).

This fantastic opportunity for creative career development can support an artist to fine tune or develop an arts practice or complete a special project. Successful applicants will have an established body of work, developed concepts, ideas, and/or themes and have a clear direction or project in mind for the three month studio residency.

Artist Showcase

Expressions of interest are now being sought from local artists in any medium, who would like the opportunity to showcase an artwork, present an artist talk or become an ‘Artist in residence’ for a one month period at one of City Libraries' 12 locations.
