Wanted: STEAM creatives
Do you have a passion or growing interest in STEAM activities? STEAM encompasses aspects of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. We are looking for expressions of interest from individuals or groups to join others in a regular group to share or expand your STEAM interest. Phone 07 5581 7285 for more information. Volunteer facilitators can download and complete the attached form, and return it to their local library.
The Big Green
Celebrate Spring at The Big Green. From 10am to 3pm on Saturday 3 September Helensvale Library and Cultural Centre are hosting a free day of fun-filled activities for the whole family. With a focus on sustainable living, the Big Green is a community celebration of the Gold Coast’s green lifestyle.
Enjoy live music with Gold Coast musicians Juzzie Smith, Raku O’Gaia, Harry J Hart and Hannah Mcleod. Encounter native wildlife and let the kids' creativity shine at the eco-friendly kids' craft activities, henna design and more. Discover environmentally friendly tips and tricks through interactive workshops featuring backyard beekeeping, raising happy chickens, cheese making, sugar-free jam making, natural kitchen remedies and edible flower cooking.
