You'll find much more to do than you ever imagined at your local branch library. An exciting range of activities and special events are held in City Libraries across the city.

There is no charge to attend any City Libraries event. All session times and booking information is available online.

Discover the new library catalogue

City Libraries has launched a new library catalogue. The new catalogue has many advantages, including easier and more powerful search functions. To learn all about it, join one of the guided introduction sessions at your local branch library. Lego drop-in sessions

Create and build your own designs with our Lego drop-in sessions. Separate sessions are available for both kids and adults. No bookings are required. View the City Libraries Calendar of Events: February - March for more information.


Chill out at the outdoor library lounge

City Libraries is proud to support the Bleach* Festival again this year, by providing the perfect space to relax, imagine, and enjoy your city. Chill out, read, or just kick back with a cool drink in one of our outdoor library lounges. Call in and say "Hi".

Creekside Currumbin RSL: Sunday 6 March, 2pm - 6pm

Promenade Robina Town Centre: Thursday 10 March and Friday 11 March, 4pm - 8pm

The Strand Coolangatta: Saturday 19 March, 3pm - 6pm

Harmony Day 2016

Celebrate our cultural diversity this Harmony Day, with events for the whole family. 

Come celebrate at Broadbeach Branch Library with our 'Words in Harmony' event, featuring slam poet Josh Holms. This event will be an opportunity for up and coming spoken word artists and novices to perform their Harmony Day poems in the open mic poetry section. Poetry workshops will also be held at our Broadbeach and Robina Branch Libraries in the lead up to this special event.

book coasters

Follow the City Libraries book coasters blog. book coasters is a space for customers and library staff to share reviews, links, tips, tricks, how-to guides and information. It's an online book club, where we can all share our thoughts on books we love (and books we don't!). It's all about discussion and we'd love to hear from you!
