Calling all girls who are thinkers, tinkers, inventors, knowledge seekers and all round science fans!

Girls who STEAM is a dedicated program of monthly workshops just for girls, with exclusive activities across the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics to inspire and unite girls aged eight years and over in their passion for science. This is a great opportunity for girls to connect with great female science minds and role models at exciting hands-on workshops across the city.

Girls who STEAM - wrap up party!

Celebrate and explore science as a we wrap up our Girls who STEAM program for the year with a free, family-friendly morning of hands-on science activities, thought provoking ideas and pop-up science workshops.

Featuring environmental scientist, Professor Catherine Pickering from Griffith University, who will present on the impact of climate change on the Gold Coast and how planting native trees can help offset the damage. Followed by a fun morning of activities with BOP Industries, STEAM Powered Kids, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Griffith University's Women in Engineering and more.

Don't forget to explore our collection of science reading material online with Overdrive or BorrowBox, or from our print collections at your library. More exciting science titles will be available to explore and borrow on the day!

All girls who have participated in the program throughout the year are encouraged to come along!
