Can I use the library from my smart phone or tablet?

Yes. City Libraries has a free mobile app called My Library! Access your library account, search the catalogue, browse and place holds for books, CDs, DVDs and online resources.

Will it work on my phone?

The app works on iPhones, iPads and Android devices.

Customers please note: We are currently experiencing technical difficulties for Android users trying to renew items borrowed that have holds on it. We have reported the issue and developers are working on a fix which will be available with the MyLibrary! app release. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

How do I set up the app?

After downloading the app, follow the on screen prompts to set up your MyLibrary! app. The library name is City of Gold Coast Libraries. You will need your library card number and PIN to complete the process.

What does it do?

You can:

  • scan ISBN barcodes to identify if it is in the City Libraries collection
  • check out eBooks and eAudiobooks via integration with 3M and Overdrive
  • search the library catalogue and view availability information and place holds
  • view your account information, including checked out items, requests and profile information
  • stay connected - with links to City Libraries’ Facebook page.
