Writers' Block workshops

Our Writers' Block program offers free workshops and seminars during the year to help you develop your creative writing skills by:

  • nurturing your skills through expert advice from recognised writers
  • strengthening your techniques through practical exercises
  • building your networks through working alongside other writers
  • helping you to grapple with the business of being a writer.

Our 2020 workshop series begins on Saturday 7 March.

Writing Fridays workspace

We know it can sometimes be hard to focus on your writing. That's why we team up with Queensland Writers Centre to offer Gold Coast writers a FREE supportive space to focus on your writing, free of distractions, every Friday from 10am to 4pm at Helensvale Library. Writing Fridays provide a structured and facilitated day of writing following the Pomodoro technique of time management. Bookings not required. Find out more.
