Collections
The library collection contains over 750,000 items, including an extensive range of fiction and non-fiction books. But did you know that the library also holds:
- more than 30,000 CDs including popular, classical and new age music
- 45,000 DVDs, including TV series, movies and educational documentaries
- almost 15,000 fiction and non-fiction audio books
- an extensive range of musical scores
- a collection of more than 860 popular and academic magazine titles
- an adult literacy collection designed to assist customers develop their literacy skills
- around 10,000 titles in various community languages at any one time, with a proportion of the collection refreshed at intervals via a loan arrangement with the State Library of Queensland
- around 10,000 graphic novels
- a great collection of eBooks for both kids and adults, available online, anytime, from anywhere with an internet connection
- literally thousands of magazines, journals and newspapers, as well as a number of major encyclopedias online via our Online Resources service
