Youth Week 2020 at Gold Coast Libraries

Queensland Youth Week (1 - 9 April)  is an annual celebration of young people aged 12 to 15 years and the positive contributions they make to our community.

The theme for 2020 is 'Yeah the youth!' - it's a call to friendship, strength and unity between young people and a celebration of who they are and what they offer to our great state.

To celebrate we are hosting two special events:

Esports storyboarding for gaming
Get thinking and get creative! Use digital and analogue tools to storyboard and create your own video game. Learn about how video games work, how to engage an audience and tell a story using gaming platforms. Facilitated by BOP Industries.

Monday 6 April, 2pm to 4pm at Southport Library
Book online or phone 07 5581 7200.

Storytelling on social media
How do we consume content on social media? Explore how stories are told in different formats across a range of social media platforms. Then, pick a local issue you are passionate about and plan a storyboard and film content to help raise awareness for your issue on social media channels. Presented by BOP Industries.

Thursday 9 April, 1pm to 4pm at Helensvale Library
Book online or phone 07 5581 1625.
