Parking in Broadbeach

On 31 July 2017, stage two of the Broadbeach ParkInCentre Scheme was introduced to manage high demand for car parking in the area.

Parking sensor technology has been used to develop these new regulations and parking fees.

The aim of the scheme is to ensure customers, residents and visitors find it easier to park in the Broadbeach commercial precinct and beachfront (Capricornia Avenue south, along Old Burleigh Road to Margaret Street).

As of early March 2018, parts of Broadbeach fall within the Central Traffic Area boundaries. This means that three-hour time restrictions are in place between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, except where linear street signage states otherwise. Streets shown on the ‘Parking in Broadbeach’ map image above that have no coloured street signage time restrictions, will be three-hour time-restricted parking (3P) between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The parking restrictions below apply seven days a week (9am to 7pm), including public holidays:

By offering a combination of free, paid and timed parking spaces we can manage the growing demand for parking and ensure that everyone has access to our beaches and businesses.

Works to install new signage and parking meters will take place during off-peak periods to minimise impacts to nearby residents and businesses.
