Help shape a new live music era for the Gold Coast.

To support a successful live music scene, the Gold Coast needs strong partnerships across all tiers of government and with peak music bodies, music businesses/ enterprises and musos. To achieve this, City of Gold Coast is calling for nominations to form a new Music Advisory Group.

The Music Advisory Group will leverage collective industry connections and expertise to galvanise industry support and benefit key priority areas of the City’s Music Action Plan (MAP 2021).

Can you (or do you know someone that can):

  • Advocate
    • Advocate for the local music industry and initiatives that support its growth and development.
  • Connect
    • Connect local industry with each other and local industry with national and international industry.
  • Inform
    • Provide information on potential career pathways, development initiatives and industry opportunities that will build our local music industry’s impact nationally.
    • Provide information and advice to the City on current issues and trends affecting the provision of live music.

Key dates

  • Nominations open 5 September 2019
  • Nominations close 22 September 2019
  • Interviews from late September 2019
  • Final notifications by late October 2019

How to apply

Forming the Music Advisory Group involves a two-stage selection process. Applicants are first required to submit an application via Smarty Grants. Shortlisted applicants will then attend an interview as part of the final selection process.
