Nature Conservation Assistance Program

Vegetation restoration on the Gold Coast

We work to conserve our biodiversity and natural assets by protecting, managing and restoring a connected and viable conservation network.

Through our Conservation Partnerships Program (CPP), we support landholders to protect wildlife habitat on private property and restore bushland that has been cleared or disturbed.

The Nature Conservation Assistance Program (NCAP) complements the CPP, supporting bushland restoration on private properties of potential high conservation value and encouraging landholders to make nature conservation a key component of property management.

The program provides financial assistance to private landholders for on-ground restoration projects that protect and enhance the natural assets of the Gold Coast.

If you have a project in mind for funding, we recommend you review Eligibility and Funding and conditions information to assist you in determining whether your project is eligible and then submit an Expression of Interest at How to apply.

Land for Wildlife member and NCAP recipient Mary McNiece shares her views about the importance of our natural environment and the assistance she has received from the NCAP in the following video.

If you need information or would like to discuss your proposal, contact a Conservation Partnerships Officer on 07 5582 8896 or ncap@goldcoast.qld.gov.au.
