Last Morning Melodies concert for 2009

Gold Coast music lovers are in for a treat when one of Australia's finest military bands, the Australian Army Band Brisbane, gives its last Morning Melodies concert for the year at Robina.

Presented by area Councillor Jan Grew and Gold Coast City Council, the concert will be held on Thursday 26 November at 11.30am in the Robina Community Centre, Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina.

The military band has built a strong local following through regular Gold Coast appearances and seats always are in hot demand.

"No tickets are required but I urge people to arrive early if they want a good seat," said Cr Grew.

"Also, we will be seeking donations on the day of non-perishable foodstuffs to help fill Christmas hampers for disadvantaged people in our community. Every donation will help to spread a little joy, so I hope everyone will get into the spirit of the season and bring along something suitable to pop into a hamper."

There also will be a raffle on the day to support the Robina Lions Club.
