We’re constructing a new carpark and set-down area along the western side of the lower sports field at Miami State High School.

We will be replacing the Coplick Footbridge on Scotty Logan Lane in Tallebudgera to extend the life of the structure and ensure access over the creek continues to be safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

Disability access upgrade - intersections of Mattocks Road and Bridgewater Drive on Christine Avenue, Varsity Lakes

Kerb ramps at the intersections of Mattocks Road and Bridgewater Drive on Christine Avenue, Varsity Lakes are being upgraded as part of an ongoing program to provide suitable access across our footpath network.

Surfers Paradise – Anabranch Bridges - railing renewal

We will be undertaking maintenance works to four bridges located on the Gold Coast Highway near MacIntosh Island in Surfers Paradise.

New path - Gooding Drive, Merrimac

We’re constructing a new two-metre path along Gooding Drive and a pedestrian bridge over Gin House Creek, to provide a safe and accessible link from Merrimac State School to Lakelands Drive.

New shared path Edmund Rice Drive, Southport

Works are commencing on construction of new shared path along the western side of Edmund Rice Drive, Southport. The project will improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists and support active travel in the area.

Ashmore, Cotlew Street road works

As part of our road reconstruction program, we will be resurfacing Cotlew Street, Ashmore, eastbound between Freda Street and Southport – Nerang Road.

Lower Beechmont - North Road - retaining wall

The North Road retaining wall in Lower Beechmont will be remediated to ensure the embankment is stabilised.
