Gold Coast Oceanway
The Gold Coast Oceanway is a 36-kilometre network of pathways along beaches from the Gold Coast Seaway (The Spit) to the Point Danger Lighthouse (Coolangatta).
The pathways provide healthy and environmentally-friendly ways for pedestrians and cyclists to explore the renowned beaches of the Gold Coast.
Increasing numbers of people are enjoying sustainable journeys along our Oceanway. Council has an investment program to improve the quality and capacity of the Oceanway to encourage healthier and more sustainable behaviour from coastal visitors.
The Oceanway provides access to a wide range of coastal environments including spectacular coastal vistas, headlands, mangroves, dunes and Littoral Rainforest.

Oceanway Projects
Snapper Rocks Emergency Works
A new section of Gold Coast Oceanway path will replace the existing boardwalk at Snapper Rocks. The ageing boardwalk is structurally unsound and does not meet current disability standards.
Coolangatta to Bilinga Foreshore Master Plan
Council has developed a master plan for the local area which will guide future development of the city’s foreshore parklands. The master plan includes an upgrade of existing and construction of a new stretch of Oceanway due to commence October 2008.
Kurrawa Pratten Park Master Plan
Council will combine existing assets with new and innovative infrastructure to create an area that contributes to our city's reputation as a permier holiday destination.
Miami to Burleigh Foreshore
Gold Coast City Council is extensively upgrading five coastal parks between Miami and Burleigh over the next two years. Improvement works will include turf rejuvenation and irrigation works, tree planting and new or upgraded parkland infrastructure, toilet facilities and pathways.
Marina Mirage to Sea World Oceanway

Burleigh Central Oceanway
The Oceanway program seeks to increase the quality and capacity of the city's foreshore corridors. Council engaged the community in October 2006 regarding future development of the Burleigh foreshore. For full details, visit Burleigh Central Oceanway page.
