Gold Coast City is renowned for its unique and beautiful beaches and foreshores, stretching from the southern end at Rainbow Bay to Couran Cove in the north.

Rainbow Beach

Rainbow Bay

Rainbow Bay offers an extensive sandy beach and a sheltered area for swimmers close to shore. Stroll up to Point Danger and enjoy the magnificent views from all directions.

Greenmount

Greenmount

Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the gentle surf of Greenmount beach. Spend the afternoon swimming and lazing on the sand or, in the cooler months, take a walk around the point to catch a glimpse of the whales on their annual migration.


Coolangatta

Coolangatta

Coolangatta offers popular protected beaches with great surfing. Stroll along the bistros and cafes or enjoy the fantastic views from Point Danger.




Kirra

Kirra

Kirra is a surfing hotspot that challenges the experienced surfer and caters for beginners closer to shore. Marvel at the extensive stretch of sand as you stroll towards Greenmount.



North Kirra

A gentle swimming beach, North Kirra is ideal for a relaxing swim. Stroll along the esplanade or walk south to Greenmount.




Bilinga

Enjoy the open beach of Bilinga or take a relaxing stroll along the walkway.





Tugun

Tugun beach features BBQ and picnic areas making it a fantastic beach for families. The open beach is great for the family.





Currumbin

Currumbin sports impressive views in all directions, while young families enjoy the gentle surf and rock pools. Currumbin beach is well known for its clean beaches.




Palm Beach

Palm beach offers a boardwalk with numerous table and chairs on the beachfront. Enjoy the open beach or relax while the children play in the playground.




Tallebudgera

Tallebudgera caters for everyone. Head to the surf or enjoy the still waters of Tallebudgera Creek.





Burleigh Heads

Venue for major international surfboard riding tournaments, Burleigh beach offers great surf. The Burleigh headland offers magical views north to Surfers Paradise.



North Burleigh

Relax on the beach or enjoy a picnic on the deck. Walk up to the headland and enjoy the spectacular views.





Miami

A peaceful and relaxing beachfront, Miami also BBQ and picnic areas. Walk up the cliff to enjoy the amazing views.





Nobby Beach

Nobby beach is a quiet beach for the family to relax. Take a stroll and view the magnificent sunrise.





Mermaid Beach

An open beach located north of the town centre. It's named after the creek that empties nearby and is usually a bit quieter then the popular Main Beach.




Kurrawa

Home to the Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club, excellent parklands and nearby dining and shopping. Plenty of space for a family barbecue. check out the great playground facilities and the duck pond.



Broadbeach

Well known for its wide expanse of sand and adjoining parkland. Take a walk along the ocean paths, enjoy the beach markets in Kurrawa Park and convenience of nearby shopping.



Surfers Paradise

Surfers Paradise beach extends for almost three (3) kilometres, its soft rolling waves are perfect for the beginner surfer. Cafes and shopping areas are just a short walk away. Beachfront markets operate every Wednesday and Friday (weather permitting).


Narrowneck

An open beach with excellent conditions for swimming and surfing. An artificial reef protects the beach. McIntosh park is directly opposite and provides endless opportunities for family fun, and this is a great starting point to walk up the Spit.


Main Beach

Enjoy one of the Gold Coast's best walks from Surfers Paradise north to cosmopolitan Main Beach. Grab a drink at the historic Main Beach bathing pavilion and continue onto the Spit and the sand pumping jetty.



Couran Cove

Couran Cove on South Stradbroke Island allows access to beaches on both the Broadwater and ocean sides of the island. The high ocean dunes are largely undeveloped and well stabilised, offering a spectacular vista of seemingly endless white beaches.
