Heavy vehicle parking permit
The object of this local law is to ensure that heavy vehicle parking on residential premises does not detract in harm to human health or safety, and does not unreasonably detract from the desirable characteristics of the natural and built environment in which the heavy vehicle is parked.

No Application fee is applicable.
Vehicular crossings (VXO) “The driveway between Council’s road and the property boundary” must be constructed in accordance with Land development Guidelines for heavy vehicles. Should a new driveway be required to accommodate the use by a heavy vehicle, a Bond for the amount of $6000.00 may be applicable.

Other
- Statement to be provided by the applicant advising that they have consulted or attempted to consult with each owner and occupier of any premises which is within 50 metres of the boundaries of the premises at which the heavy vehicle will be parked (Please refer to the Application Requirements outlined on the application form).

Applications can be submitted in person at Council offices or by mail.
Related applications
Where a heavy vehicle Vehicular Crossover (VXO) is required, an approval must be obtained for the construction of a (VXO) in accordance with the Land Development Guidelines for heavy vehicles.
Application process
- The applicant is responsible for ensuring the application is complete - please refer to application requirements.
- The applicant submits the application - please refer to how to submit an application.
- Council will then process the application within legislative or agreed time frames. Council will contact the applicant should additional information be required to process the application.
- Council will forward the decision notice to the applicant.
Note: Only a properly made application will be accepted by Council.
