Breaking the Cycle of Housing Stress

A Housing Needs Assessment for Gold Coast City was completed in 1998. In early 2001, the Gold Coast Housing Network in partnership with the Gold Coast City Council, decided to undertake an update of the Housing Needs Assessment. The update is aimed at building on the 1998 document, by providing up to date information on housing need in order to facilitate planning and management of housing and housing service provision in Gold Coast City.

Homelessness

Our Invisible Community: People homeless in Gold Coast City was a study commissioned by Council due to rising concern regarding the extent of homelessness in the city.

The basis of the study was descriptive so as to expand the knowledge base on the topic. This study suggests it is prudent for Council to identify how it can constructively respond to homelessness in the city.
