Gold Coast City Council (Council), as a registered vaccine provider, is committed to providing Gold Coast residents with a professional and accessible public immunisation service, dedicated to reducing the incidence of vaccine-preventable communicable diseases.
Immunisation Presentation
This four minute presentation provides information on Council’s immunisation services. It highlights the benefits of immunisation and details the various services. The information also seeks to answer the typical enquiries received everyday. It is designed to assist people to make an informed decision.
Parents, grandparents and friends of new borns are encouraged to view the expert advice provided on the subject. Immunisation is considered the most simple, safe and effective way of protecting our community against preventable disease.
Council's Immunisation Services conducts monthly day and night clinics at locations right across the city, offering free vaccinations listed on the National Immunisation Program Schedule Queensland (NIPSQ).
NIPSQ vaccines are provided courtesy of Queensland Health and vaccine administration at Council clinics by qualified health professionals is also free.
Vaccinations against certain other diseases which are recommended but which are not on the free list are also available for a fee at Council's monthly clinics.
In addition to the conduct of monthly clinics, Council Immunisation Services teams now visit the city's secondary and special schools three times per year, offering age-applicable vaccinations.
