Fees
No fees are required for licensing or processing unless the applicant's business operations fall into one or more of the following categories:
- based at a residential property
- based outside the City of the Gold Coast

Note: If fee is applicable, the application costs $390.00 (No pro rata applies).

Certification
Veterinary Certification stating that the animal/s details, condition and fitness.
Insurance
Public Liability Insurance - Please enclose a copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency. The Gold Coast City Council will need to be noted as an interested party on the policy. The sum insured is to be a minimum of $10 Million.

- Statement to be provided by the owner that the vehicle complies with the provisions of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management-Road Rules) Regulation 1999 – Part 13 Division 2 Section 223 & Part 18 Division 2A Section 303B (Horse Drawn Carriages) or Part 15 Sections 246, 258 & 259 (Pedicabs).
- Copies of relevant stable approvals

- The applicant is responsible for ensuring the application is complete - please refer to application requirements.
- The applicant submits the application - please refer to how to submit an application.
- Council will then process the application within legislative or agreed time frames. Council will contact the applicant should additional information be required to process the application.
- Council will forward the approval to the applicant.
Note: Only a properly made application will be accepted by Council.
