Events and festivals
There are great events and festivals held all the time along the Gold Coast Oceanway. Regular events include Indy Carnival, Schoolies Festival, Kurrawa Surflivesaving carnivals and Wintersun.
Markets
Why not walk or cycle to one of the regular markets held along the Gold Coast Oceanway. Markets include, The Spit farmers market, Surfers lantern markets, Miami organic produce market and art and craft markets at Broadbeach, Burleigh and Coolangatta.
Artwork
There is great artwork all along the Gold Coast Oceanway. An annual Oceanway Sculpture Festival is held at Currumbin.

Recreation
There are great places to go surfing all along the Oceanway and great places to watch the action at Duranbah, Snapper Rocks, Kirra Point, Currumbin Alley, Burleigh Point, Narrowneck and The Sandpumping Jetty. There are many surf schools for those wanting to learn to surf.
If you get hot walking or cycling then there are lots of great places to stop for a swim all along the Gold Cost Oceanway. There are 19 year round flagged areas and up to 38 sets of flags during the peak summer holiday period. Remember ALWAYS swim between the flags!
Gold Coast history and culture
The Gold Coast Oceanway has a rich and diverse history and culture. Historical and cultural sites include the first inter Pacific Cable at Narrowneck, celebration of indigenous culture painted onto the Tallebudgera Duneway and the Greenmount Sharkwatch Tower.
