Our Natural Playground

Gold Coast City Council recognises that the city needs to respond to challenges presented by major population growth if it is to maintain its enviable lifestyle.

In 2004, Council adopted the Our Natural Playground Parks Strategy to guide the development of parks and recreation services on the Gold Coast up to 2020.

The ongoing development and appropriate management of the city's natural areas, parks and recreation facilities is critical to maintaining existing lifestyles and the city's position as the nation's leading tourist destination.
