The Gold Coast City Community Profile includes local demographic information from the Census of Population and Housing for 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991. The Gold Coast City Community Profile is designed to inform community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public.
This online community profiling tool allows users to view Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census data and generate PDF reports on Gold Coast City and smaller areas within the city (Statistical Local Areas). These reports (with maps, tables and charts) contain Census demographic information including age and gender profiles, multicultural diversity, housing and tenure types, incomes and workforce, education, employment and family composition for the selected area. The community profile will also allow users to compare results for their selected area to Gold Coast City, South East Queensland, Queensland and Australia.
The Gold Coast City Community Profile provides central access to 2006, 2001, 1996, 1991 ABS Census statistics for Gold Coast City. It replaces a number of previous publications by Gold Coast City Council including Our Community, Social Atlas and Local Area Profiles.

The Community Atlas includes key socio-demographic characteristics for Gold Coast City presented as interactive maps. Based on data from the 2006 Census of Population and Housing (Australian Bureau of Statistics), each map is prepared using Census Collector Districts providing the finest level of detail to help identify spatial patterns and trends in the area.
A range of maps are available, including maps on population, ethnicity, education, household type, labour force, how people travel to work, housing tenure and cost, and computer use.
