Review of Local Laws

Council undertook a review of its local laws and at the Council Meeting dated 12 December 2008 resolved to make a new set of Local Laws and repeal most of its previous laws except for Local Law No. 2 (Regulated Parking) 2006, Local Law No. 6 (Vegetation Management), Local Law No. 12 (Keeping and Control of Animals) Law, Local Law No. 14 (Water Supply), Local Law No. 30 (Bathing Reserves) 2004 and Local Law No. 44 (Heavy Vehicle Parking) 2007 and their subordinates.

Current Local Laws

Our local laws reflect community needs to ensure safety, harmony and good rule. They govern such things as parking, swimming pools, meetings, business advertising and animal management.

The Gazette date applies to Local Laws and refers to the date the laws took effect. The advertised date is the date on which Subordinate Local Laws took effect
