Transport
Transport choices are many and varied on the Gold Coast, catering for residents and the large number of visitors to the City.
Gold Coast City Transport Strategy 2031
Council is developing a new transport strategy to set a direction for the transport future of the city for the next 20 years. Gold Coast City Transport Strategy 2031 will help us better understand our city's current and future transport needs and issues by shaping and guiding the development of the transport network over the next 20 years. This strategy will make possibly the single most important contribution to how the city functions and will greatly influence the type of lifestyle enjoyed by residents and visitors.
Active Travel

The Active Travel program encourages the use of efficient, sustainable transport options including walking, cycling, carpooling and public transport within the city. The aim of the program is to encourage active and healthy living through developing an integrated network of walking, cycling and public transport routes which link people to places, helping the community to easily incorporate active travel into their daily life for school, work, shopping and recreation.
