Cultural diversity
Gold Coast City Council values and celebrates the city’s cultural diversity and heritage and aims to ensure the provision of equitable access to Council services, facilities, programs and information for residents and visitors including people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
Council delivers strategies and programs to assist the CALD community and promote multiculturalism through a partnership with the Queensland Government via Multicultural Affairs Queensland (MAQ). It is called the Local Area Multicultural Partnership (LAMP) Program.

Council is currently developing a Community Relations Plan. It is due for completion in the first half of 2007 and will demonstrate our commitment to providing inclusive and effective service delivery for its CALD clients and to promoting multiculturalism.
