Council has a range of strategies in place to manage our city and its resources sustainably.Guided by its commitment to Local Agenda 21 and the vision of its Corporate Plan, Council strives for Ecological Sustainable Development.
Council has strategies in place to conserve our energy and water resources and to manage our waste.
The Gold Coast sustainability report, known as the Our Living City Report, has been developed for the whole city including the community and industry. It includes social, economic as well as ecological issues and is based upon Council's strategic priorities and desired environmental outcomes to help measure and understand how the whole city is moving toward a sustainable future.
