Enjoy our environment
Gold Coast City offers a range of active and passive ways to enjoy our beautiful environment.
There are many foreshore walks and facilities including the 36 kilometre Gold Coast Oceanway, while the city boasts some 29,000 hectares of parkland and natural areas including over 1000 hectares of wetland reserves and waterways corridors.
Through its environmental levy, Gold Coast City Council is committed to purchasing the city's most ecologically and strategically significant natural areas, some of which will be available for recreation as well as habitat preservation.
