How to complete an application form
While there is no right or wrong way to set out your written application, we would like to make things as simple as possible for you. Therefore we have created a Job Application form, which should be used to apply for any position across Council.
This form ensures you provide us with all the information needed to undertake a thorough assessment of your suitability for the job.

A completed Job Application form should include Parts A to F as listed below.

- Part A – Vacancy details
It is important that we know what job you would like to apply for, so please ensure you quote the job title, vacancy number and closing date (found in the advertisement); - Part B – Applicant details
We might need to contact you urgently to arrange an interview, so please remember to ensure that all your contact details are current and correct. - Part C – Additional information
This area relates to any previous or current employment with Council and how you found out about a particular vacancy. The Recruitment & Careers Centre will be using this data to compile valuable information, so please ensure you complete all fields. - Part D – Equity and diversity
This data is used for statistical purposes only, and will not influence the selection process or outcome. - Part E – Key selection criteria
You are required to provide a statement addressing each of the selection criteria and these fields will allow you to complete this aspect online. Each box will automatically expand as it fills with text. - Part F – Education and employment history
Here you have two options. You can either provide us with an up to date electronic copy of your resume/curriculum vitae, and attach it to your completed job application form. Or, you can complete the Education and Employment History section in Part F of the job application form. You only need to choose one option.
