Welcome to the Multilingual section of the Gold Coast City Council.
With 1 in 4 people living on the Gold Coast born overseas, the city reflects a wide range of cultures, languages and religions. Council is undertaking the task of creating better access to Council services and resources to all residents and visitors to the city through the multilingual pages.

Multicultural Information Card
The Multicultural Information Card is designed to assist people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to access services. The card has been translated into 13 different languages other than English and include Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Italian, Hungarian, Tagalog, Portuguese, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. Language Assistance
For assistance speaking to a Council officer please call the National Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS) 131 450.
To use this service you will need to tell them your preferred language and that you want to call Gold Coast City Council Customer Service on 1300 130 854. This is a free service for Council related business.
Information on how to access an interpreter to contact Council has been translated into 16 different languages. These languages include Arabic, Cantonese, French, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Serbian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Spanish, Somali and Swahili.
