Arts and culture opportunities
It's often unexpected and sometimes surprising, but it’s always distinctly Gold Coast. That is why we're on a mission to fuel the creativity of our artists, creatives and anyone who loves art.
City of Gold Coast delivers workshops, programs, funding, panel discussions and professional development opportunities to our local community. Keep up to date with the latest opportunities here.
The Australia Council for the Arts and City of Gold Coast encourage local leaders and emerging leaders to apply to be part of the Gold Coast Arts Leadership Exchange. This free, one-day exchange with national arts leaders offers an interactive learning experience to inspire and enhance arts leadership. The program has been tailored to suit leaders from a range of career levels and will respond to local challenges and opportunities. Independents and people working for organisations are encouraged to apply.
We are looking for the next wave of creative producers, project managers, event coordinators and arts administrators to support the growth of our city’s rapidly evolving and growing arts and cultural sector. We are offering an opportunity for an emerging arts and cultural worker – or an emerging event/project manager with a demonstrated interest in arts and culture – to increase their professional skills, experience and networks by undertaking a paid placement with Bleach* Festival.
We're looking for members to join the Live Music Advisory Group. If you have experience in the local music sector as a musician, venue owner or within professional services including management, PR or technical you can play an important role in shaping the future of the live music scene on the Gold Coast.
We searched for artists to create an artwork on the Gold Coast’s own light rail - the G:link. Now you decide on the art that wraps the light rail for the summer. Thanks to support from the Queensland Government’s Department of Transport and Main Roads, GoldlinQ and GoTransit.
The search is on for an artist to deliver iconic gateways to the Gold Coast that are visually bold, expressive and memorable. The Gateways Public Art Commission will “bookend” the city becoming a beacon of our cultural life, creating a sense of arrival and welcome for locals and visitors.
