GC100 charity bike ride

The GC100 offers a comprehensive scenic tour of the Gold Coast. Ride along the beautiful beach esplanade before challenging yourself on the undulating back hills of the hinterland.

Justice in the Park – Freedom, Social Justice, Growth (FSG) Festival*

Justice in the Park is a festival by the community, for the community. Join us in creating a memorable, annual festival by bringing together families and friends to enjoy live entertainment, multi-cultural cuisine, interactive workshops, market stalls, guest speakers, sharing of ideas, knowledge and experience, and much more.

Farmyard Fun Day*

This action packed day will host sheep and duck herding, pig racing, horse and carriage rides, barnyard babies, sheep shearing, cow milking and all our other farmyard favourites.

Australian Junior Outrigger marathon championships*

This event will be the proving ground for the juniors going to Tahiti for the inaugural world elite marathon titles in 2017. Spectators welcome and with a live DJ and races staged close to the foreshore, you will be able to see all the action and join in the fun.

Outdoor movie night – Frozen*

Movies under the stars are back by popular demand with a screening of the ultimate family favourite, Disney’s Frozen. Elsa and Anna will also be there before the movie for a meet and greet with the kids, so dig out your Frozen costume for a selfie with the stars. Come down, bring a blanket and a picnic or just grab some of the food available on the night.

Corvettes on the coast*

Picture over 100 pristine corvettes on display for your viewing pleasure. This event also includes music and trade stalls for the car enthusiasts and let’s not forget the amusement rides and face painting.

Tango in the park*

If you love Tango, Vals, Milonga or any other Latin dance, chances are you will love this free workshop. For beginners through to advanced, you don’t need a partner, just bring your dancing shoes.

Food Truck Feast is on again at Broadwater Parklands. Gold Coast Festival of Lights

The Gold Coast Festival of Lights celebrates Chinese culture through a display of hundreds of beautiful and unique large-scale light installations, cultural performers direct from China, traditional handicrafts and Chinese cuisine. Don’t miss this dazzling cultural experience.

Heart Foundation Walk*

Walking is a fun and a cheap way to keep active and fit. There are more than 30 free weekly walks offered across our city. Trained volunteers and organisers from the Heart Foundation in partnership with City of Gold Coast also offer walking groups led by local residents.
