Due to activities related to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games the centre will be closed for bookings from 22 January 2018 to 17 July 2018.

Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium


Originally opened in 1989 by the Gold Coast Cougars, later to be rebranded as the Gold Coast Rollers, the Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium has since been home for a large range of community sporting organisations and major events.

Refurbishment of this multi-purpose indoor venue commenced in January 2017 and will extend community usage of this facility for the next 20 years and beyond. The project will deliver upgraded spectator seating, technology upgrades, new internal and external cladding, and a new roof.

Casual court use from 17 July 2018

Single court hire and casual shoot-around sessions will depend on availability, we highly recommend phoning ahead to check available times.

Casual shoot-arounds (walk in) sessions are available for basketball only (one hoop). This does not guarantee sole use of the court.

Exclusive use of a single court requires a booking to made and includes; basketball, netball and futsal.

Lost property

Major Sporting Venues is not responsible for personal property left at the venues.

Due to the high volume of sporting activity and events in our venues, we are unable to store lost items. Where possible items will be returned to the sporting club or event organiser.
